Must read

The factional crises in the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia state has reached its climax as over 1,000 factional members of the party decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on grounds of “infighting, deceit and lies” within the ranks of the opposition APC.

The leader of the defectors, Egwuatu Egbulefu, who thronged the PDP secretariat on Abia state with said their time with the APC yielded no result as he described the APC as  “a bandwagon of sad, selfish and aggrieved politicians looking for a platform to unbidden their grief”, regretting their initial decision to leave the PDP, blaming it on unbridled anger, while calling on others who were “still wasting time in APC” to return to the PDP.

The defectors thanked the Abia state PDP chairman, Emma Nwaka and governor Theodore Orji for their efforts accepting them back to the PDP and their efforts in building the party in the state.

On his part, Nwaka said he was happy to welcome them back to the party stating that the PDP will give everybody the same level of treatment.

The defectors, who were running a faction of the APC, went on to burn APC flags and trademark brooms.
