Police say they have began investigating allegation that an 11-year old boy was dragged off a north London street in broad daylight and raped, according to London Evening Standard.
The victim, believed to be from the large Hasidic Jewish community in Stamford Hill was said to be on his way to school when he was dragged into a stairwell, by an unknown man.
Later the same day, a 44-year old man was apprehended by operatives of the Sexual Offenses Exploitation and Child Abuse Command. After two days another 22-year old man was arrested for the same offence.
Both men have been bailed till October.
Local schools have been intimated with the incident, with parents advised to pay more attention to the safety of their wards.
Andy Walker, a superintendent of Hackney police said: “These sorts of offences are thankfully very rare in this area, but they are particularly upsetting incidents and I understand the effect this may have on the people of Stamford Hill.”
