Unknown gunmen on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, killed two persons in a fresh attack on Rafinkada village of Wukari Local Government Council of Taraba State.
Several persons were confirmed to have sustained various degrees of gunshot injuries in the bloody attack.
Property worth millions of Naira were also destroyed by the attackers.
Residents of the community told Daily Post that the attackers invaded the community when the people were deeply asleep.
Stressing how they were forced out of their beds by gunshots, the residents said the whereabouts of some members of the community were still unknown.
Another source who also claimed to have narrowly escaped the scene confirmed that while two persons were killed on the spot, several others, according to him, managed to escape with gunshot injuries.
Adi Daniel, the chairman of Wukari LGA, who confirmed that attack, also admitted that two persons were killed by the gunmen.
Though normalcy, according to him, had been restored to the community, the need for more security operatives to be deployed to the area, he believed, can no longer be ignored.
