Preparation has begun in earnest for the re-election campaign of President Goodluck Jonathan as a total of ten committees to executive his declaration event – containing over 200 names – are set to be inaugurated on Wednesday, October 29, 2014.
Minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke is scheduled to head the finance committee which has former accountant-general of the federation and current Governor of Gombe State Ibrahim Dakwambo as vice chairman.
Other committees include venue and decoration, minister of Federal Capital Territory (F.C.T) Senator Bala Mohammed; logistics and transportation committee to be chaired by Abia state governor Theodore Orji; medical committee headed by Ondo State governor, who recently re-joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olusegun Mimiko.
Other committees and their leaders include security – Katsina State governor Ibrahim Shettima; event/planning – Cross River State governor Liyel Imoke
