NAN – The police on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 arraigned an applicant, Ime Udom, 25, of CBN Quarters Garki 2, Abuja, at a Grade 1 Area Court, Kado, Abuja for criminal trespass and attempt to commit an offence.
The police prosecutor, Cpl. Simon Emmanuel, told the court that one Abubakar Aliyu of Life Camp Abuja, reported the case at Life Camp Police Station on Feb. 2.
According to him, the accused went to the complainant’s house with the intention to steal his property but was caught at the spot.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 342 and 95 of the Penal Code.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
The judge, Malam Abubakar Sadiq, granted the accused bail in the sum of N30, 000 with a surety in a like sum.
He ordered that the surety must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and adjourned the case till Mar. 2, for further hearing.
