Alarm Raised Over Impending Movement Of Terrorists On Borno

Security agencies in the country have raised an alarm based on intelligence of an impending movement of members of the Boko Haram terror group in Borno State. especially in Geidam, Mairi and Dupcha where the number of their members is on the high side.

The National Coordinator, National Information Center, Mike Omeri, made this known while speaking to journalists on Thursday, February 12, 2015, where he also availed that the group also planned on aborting elections to be held those areas, although the Nigerian troops have been mobilised and deployed, and have been rounding up some of the insurgents.

While announcing new security emergency numbers to be used by North Eastern residents to lay complaints and report any percieved security breach, Omerio beckoned on members f the public to exhibit a high level of awareness and vigilance, so as to help the military safe guard life and property during the electioneering period.
