Boko Haram Bomb Maker Arrested In Yobe

An alleged bomb maker for insurgent group, Boko Haram, whose name was simple given as Ba’na has been apprehended by police operatives in Potiskum, Yobe State.

According to Agence France Press (AFP), the suspect, who was apprehended alongside none others confessed to being responsible for the manufacture of explosive devices used by suicide bombers who have operated wantonly in several parts of the state on recent times.

A police officer who spoke anonymously said: “He confessed to being responsible for the manufacture of the explosives used in at least three suicide attacks and the car explosion outside the divisional police station.”

The suspect, who reportedly moved to Potiskum from Damaturu three years ago was said to have had a commendable cover for his nefarious activities, working as a stonemason and water vendor.

The unnamed officer said: “He was quite good at his disguise and his mason and water vending jobs gave him perfect cover.”

Spokesman for the Nigerian Police Force, Emmanuel Ojukwu, when contacted for information on the arrest told AFP that he had not been briefed on the incident.
