Deadly Fever Hits Super Eagles Camp

The Nigerian national team, Super Eagles’ camp for the 2014 FIFA World Cup has been hit by the deadly dengue fever outbreak.

With just ten days to the kick-off of the World Cup, the city of Campinas, Brazil has been hit by the worst dengue fever outbreak in its history.

Dengue is incurable viral infection and could only be managed.

The Nigerian has pitched its Team Base Camp at the Victoria Hotel Concept in Campinas, 60 minutes’ drive from Guarulhos Airport.

Sanitation workers on Monday, June 2, 2014 went about spraying for mosquitoes in the southeastern city, which carry the tropical virus.

However, health officials have recommend players cover up and wear insect repellent just in case.

Portugal’s national team is also scheduled to camp in Campinas.
