Multiple bombs rocked Damaturu, the Yobe State capital at Phase I near Eid Praying ground, Sallah Day, Friday, July 17, 2015.
The explosions are coming on a day when the new Chief of Army Staff, Major General Tukur Buratai declared that he will spend his Sallah celebration in Damaturu.
Eye-witnesses observed that praying grounds in the town are now deserted.
Security operatives and men of the anti-bomb squad have condoned off the praying grounds in the city.
The number of casualties yet to be ascertained.
