The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has banned Morocco from participating in the 2017 and 2019 editions of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for pulling out of hosting the 2015 edition of the competition.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (RMFF) withdrew from hosting the tournament over fears of Ebola virus.
In addition to the ban, CAF has fined Morocco $1 million and an 8 Million Euro compensation.
The hosting of the competition was taken over by Equatorial Guinea, with the final to be played on Sunday, February 8, 2015 between Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire.
