LAGOS, Nigeria — Veteran entertainer and activist Charly Boy has taken to social media to announce his search for a wife for his 46-year-old son, who is divorced and, according to him, wary of women after past experiences.
In a post shared on X, the 74-year-old singer outlined his son’s profile and the qualities he is seeking in a prospective partner.
He described his son as a master’s degree holder, standing 5ft 11ins tall, and “very humble.”
Charly Boy, however, acknowledged that his son’s failed marriage had left him cautious about relationships.
“My people, I still dey look for wife for dis my son. E don marry once, divorce. Now, e be like say e dey fear woman,” he wrote.
He appealed for suitors from what he termed “good homes with humble beginnings,” adding that only “authentic graduates” would be considered.
“Biko, if you’re from a good home with humble beginnings, DM me. He is coming next month,” the post read.
“He is a master’s degree holder, age 46. 5ft 11ins. Very humble. If you’re not an authentic graduate, don’t bother. I need to tie him to Nigeria.”
