The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 paid a courtesy visit to Catholic Bishops in Abuja at the Pope John Paul II Catholic Centre, Wuse 2.
Tagging along on the visit were Yemi Osinbajo, General Buhari’s running mate; his Campaign Director, Governor Rotimi Amaechi and several high ranking members of the opposition party.
Catholic Bishops who were part of the meeting inluded: the Archbishop of Jos and President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria Ignasuis Kiagama; Archbishop of Benin and Vice President (CBCN) Augustine Akubueze; Bishop Lucius Ugorji of Umuahia, Archbishop Anthony Obinna of Owerri; amongst others.
