Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade has lost his Senatorial Primary election.
In the result declared, Cecilia Adams emerged the winner polling a total number of 140 votes, with Prof. Ben Ayade came a distant 3rd position with 52 votes.
This will be the first time an incumbent governor is losing a primary election and the first incumbent Governor to lose a primary election in Nigeria.
Ayade – 52 votes
Martin Ojie – 61 votes
Adams Cecilia – 140 votes.
