LAGOS, Nigeria — Chude Jideonwo, a Nigerian media entrepreneur and director, has released a four-part documentary series, “Is It Your Money?”, centred on the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, in which she speaks directly about the corruption allegations that have followed her for years.
In the series, Ms. Alison-Madueke denies wrongdoing and says, “I did not steal any money”.
According to an e-mailed press release to The Trent on Friday, January 23, 2026, the documentary is now streaming on WithChude.com and YouTube, according to a press release issued by Joy, Inc., the media company behind the WithChude platform.
The release follows an earlier unveiling of the series last year, after which it was taken down amid ongoing legal proceedings linked to Alison-Madueke’s case.
Its removal prompted public discussion about press freedom, access and the challenges of publishing narrative work while legal processes remain underway, the press release said.
The series has now been restored in full, with Joy, Inc. describing it as the complete, unedited account as originally produced.
According to the press release, the documentary traces Alison-Madueke’s rise through Nigeria’s political establishment, including her appointment as the country’s first woman oil minister and her position as the first female president of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries.
It also follows international investigations that emerged after her tenure and presents her account of the personal consequences of prolonged public and legal scrutiny.
The return of the series comes as Ms. Alison-Madueke faces court proceedings in the United Kingdom over allegations of accepting a £100,000 bribe, the press release said.
