Yesterday, news surfaced that Apple was closing a deal with Beats Electronics for $3.2 billion. Although the deal wasn’t made official yet, Dre and R&B superstar Tyrese confirmed the transaction with some footage captured on YouTube.
Tyrese, Dr. Dre and director F. Gary Gray can be found stunting on ‘em haters and boasting a lot about their bankroll. Tyrese says things like “Billionaire boys club for real homies. The Forbes list just changed.” Dre adds, “The first billionaire in hip-hop, right here from the motherfucking West Coast, believe it!”
Dre founded the company with Jimmy Iovine, who is the Chairman of Unversial Music Group’s Interscope Geffen A&M. Recently, the pair alongside Eminem graced our April/May issue.
