1Your song“Dance Dance” is being performed all over the United States by a certain Ivorian artiste, called “CCP Smoother.” What was your reaction when you found out?

I was shocked. Very shocked. No other word best describes my reaction.

2. What are you going to do about it?

My management and my lawyer are sorting that out. I’m remaining focused on creating more music.

3. For a while now, you disappeared from the music scene. What have you been up to? And what happened?

Dissapeared? Anything can ‘dissapear’ depending on where you look.

4. Just recently, Asa Asika signed D’Banj to his management company, StarGaze which has other artistes like Ayo Jay, Bhoj and the rest of them. Why are you not working with such hardworking miracle performers?

I already have capable representation.

5. What do we expect from you in the foreseeable future?

More music, singles, collaborations and videos. The whole nine yards.

6. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In happiness.

7. In the meantime, do you think you will be able to have CCP Smoother pay for his sins? Or are you just going to let it lie low?

My lawyer will sort all of that out.

8. When do we get an album from you?

2015.

9. You started out with a bang, a song, ‘Dreams’. Then, you went by the name; Rico Slim. What made you change your name? And do you still work with SamKlef?

Growth! Change is necessary for growth. And no, I don’t work with SamKlef anymore.

10. What message do you have for CCP Smoother right now?

Godspeed. CCP Smoother, I wish you Godspeed.
