The Emir of Kano, Ado Abdullahi Bayero, has passed away.
Bayero, who is one of Nigeria’s most prominent traditional rulers, died in the early hours of Friday, June 6, 2014.
According to family sources, the Emir died in Kano.
He will be laid to rest later today according to Islamic rites.
May his soul rest in peace.
