Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has resigned from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Obaseki announced his resignation from the ruling party on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Obaseki was disqualified from the APC primaries on Saturday following a long faceoff with his predecessor and national chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomole.
He has not yet announced membership of a new party but it is expected he will further his political carrier at the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
