NAN – An Ikeja High Court on Tuesday remanded two men — Abdullahi Mulaika and Quadri Badmus — in Kirikiri Prisons for allegedly robbing one Mr Felix Ugoja of N124,000 cash and other valuables.
Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye said the accused should be kept behind bars following their arraignment by the State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mulaika, 25, and Badmus, 23, are facing a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy and armed robbery.
They, however, pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mrs Emonena Okereka, said the men committed the offences on Dec. 27, 2011 at No.176, Olaniyi St., Oko Oba, Agege in Lagos.
Okereka said the accused, who were armed with a gun, robbed Ugoja of the cash and other valuables including mobile handsets and jewellery.
She said offences contravened Sections 295 (2), (a) and 297 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The case has been adjourned to Nov. 26 for trial.
