LAGOS, Nigeria — A viral video circulating on social media has captured the dramatic moment a young man was apprehended after allegedly spending the night concealed in the ceiling of a First City Monument Bank (FCMB) branch in a suspected attempt to compromise the bank’s systems.
Eyewitnesses said the suspect had entered the bank during regular business hours and discreetly locked himself inside a restroom.
From there, he reportedly climbed into the ceiling, lying in wait until all employees had departed for the day.
The following morning, bank staff arrived to find the main entrance locked from the inside—an unusual occurrence that immediately raised suspicion.
Forced to break open the entrance, they were met with strange noises emanating from the ceiling.

Security operatives were called in and quickly located the suspect, pulling him down from the crawlspace.
In the video, the man is seen being dragged out, physically restrained, and tied with a rope by security personnel and others present.
He appeared disoriented and offered little resistance.
Witnesses claim he was caught in the act of attempting to tamper with internal bank systems, although no official confirmation has yet been provided.
