A 27-year-old Killeen man is facing a second-degree felony charge after police said he drugged and raped another man.
A Bell County grand jury indicted Chad Lee Cook on a charge of sexual assault Wednesday January 29. An arrest affidavit stated that Cook’s alleged victim, an adult male, told police he went to Cook’s residence April 12 to help with some welding.
The victim said he felt like he had been drugged, the affidavit stated.
The victim passed out, and awoke to discover Cook performing oral sex on him.
The victim reported the incident to police April 13, the affidavit stated.
When questioned by police, Cook denied any sexual contact with the victim.
However, the affidavit stated that Cook’s DNA was found in samples taken during a sexual assault examination.
Cook is currently in custody in Bell County Jail, and his bail is set at $100,000.
According to court documents, Cook also is currently facing a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated charge from March 2012.
Cook was convicted in 2009 on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges, court records stated.
