MUSKOGEE, USA — An Oklahoma man has been charged with sexually abusing his 11-year-old stepdaughter after the child gave birth at home, while the girl’s mother faces charges of enabling the abuse, prosecutors said Monday, August 25, 2025.
Dustin Walker, 34, was charged with child sexual abuse following DNA test results that showed he was the father of the baby born to the child on August 16, according to the Muskogee County District Attorney’s Office.
The test indicated a 99.9 percent probability of paternity.
The child’s mother, Cherie Walker, 33, was charged with enabling child sexual abuse.
Both parents were initially arrested last week on a single count of felony child neglect after claiming they were unaware the girl was pregnant.
Court filings show the child had not received medical care in more than a year and delivered the baby without professional assistance.
Multiple Neglect Charges
On Monday, prosecutors amended the charges, filing six additional counts of felony child neglect against the couple. Five of the counts relate to the Walkers’ other children — ages 2, 4, 6, 7, and 9 — who authorities said were living in “deplorable conditions.”
“The victims were found to be living in dog feces and had no clothing on,” court documents state.
Assistant District Attorney Janet Hutson called the case unprecedented in her experience.
“This is one of the most if not the most serious child sexual abuse and neglect cases I have ever prosecuted,” Hutson said in a statement.
Court Proceedings
Bond for Dustin and Cherie Walker was set at $100,000 each. A sounding docket hearing is scheduled for September 3.
“Each of the charges against both defendants are punishable by up to life,” Hutson said.
All six children were removed from the home last week and placed under state care, according to court records.
It remains unclear whether Dustin and Cherie Walker have secured legal representation.
