Meghan Markle Named Keynote Speaker at 2025 TIME100 Summit in New York

Must read

NEW YORK, USA — Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is set to headline the TIME100 Summit later this month, marking a new milestone in her post-royal public career.

The announcement places her among a distinguished group of global figures invited to speak at the influential event, which convenes leaders across industries to discuss pathways to a more equitable and innovative world.

The TIME100 Summit, now in its fifth year, will be held in New York City and will feature prominent voices from politics, entertainment, global health, and technology.

Other confirmed speakers include actor Ryan Reynolds, World Health Organization Director-General Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos.

A Growing Public Platform

Meghan will take the stage as both a keynote speaker and founder of her new lifestyle brand, As Ever, further cementing her transition into public advocacy, entrepreneurship, and media influence.

Her husband, Prince Harry, is not listed among the event’s participants, and it remains unclear whether he will accompany her to New York.

The TIME100 Summit website states that this year’s edition will “spotlight solutions and encourage action toward a better world,” highlighting Meghan’s inclusion as part of the magazine’s broader engagement with changemakers around the world.

From Royal Duties to Global Forums

The Duchess of Sussex follows in the footsteps of other high-profile figures, including Kim Kardashian, who spoke at the 2023 summit on criminal justice reform.

Meghan’s invitation reflects her evolving role on the global stage since stepping back from royal duties in 2020.

Her appearance at the summit comes shortly after TIME Magazine released its annual TIME100 list, naming the year’s most influential people.

Among those featured on the covers are singer Ed Sheeran, actor Demi Moore, tennis icon Serena Williams, and Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis.

The summit will culminate in a high-profile gala on April 24, which will be hosted by rapper Snoop Dogg and is scheduled to air on ABC on May 4. It is currently unknown whether Meghan will attend the gala.

As anticipation builds for the event, Meghan’s keynote marks a significant chapter in her redefined public life — one now centred on influence, impact, and global dialogue.
