Must read

The Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke has said that the recent award of term contracts for crude oil lifting, majorly to indigenous oil and gas companies, is part of the federal government’s larger objective to encourage effective local participation in operations within Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

ThisDay reports, Alison-Madueke said in a statement from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Sunday in Abuja that the decision to award over 60 per cent of the 2014 to 2015 annual term contracts for the lifting of Nigeria’s crude oil to local firms was taken after a painstaking pre-qualification process.
