ABUJA, Nigeria — One million copies of the Holy Bible are set to be distributed across Nigeria in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.
The initiative, organisers said, is aimed at fostering moral renewal, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility among young Nigerians.
The project was announced during a thanksgiving service held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the National Christian Centre, Abuja.
The event was organised by friends of Seyi Tinubu and coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).
According to the organisers, the Bibles will be distributed through churches, schools, and community-based groups in every state.
The initiative, they added, is designed not as a personal tribute but as a national call to moral transformation.
“The one million Bible project is a gift to the body of Christ and a seed for moral transformation,” Enwere said during the event.
“Through this effort, we hope to restore integrity, compassion, and love for humanity among young Nigerians.”
The thanksgiving service, which was simultaneously observed in about 40 churches nationwide, featured prayers, hymns, and messages focused on spiritual renewal and the moral reawakening of Nigeria.
Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, officiated the service and led special prayers for the Tinubu family and the nation.
Clergymen from different denominations described the initiative as timely and impactful, noting the urgent need for faith-based interventions in addressing moral decline across the country.
In a message read on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed gratitude to the organisers, emphasising the importance of faith and moral education in building a responsible and united society.
“Faith remains the cornerstone of national development. I am humbled by this gesture and pray that the Word of God shared through this initiative will touch lives and guide our nation toward righteousness,” the statement read.
The first batch of Bibles was presented during the service and will be distributed nationwide in the coming weeks through churches, schools, and youth ministries.
Organisers said the initiative will continue over several months to ensure that every region of the country benefits, adding that it represents a long-term commitment to promoting godly values and responsible leadership among Nigeria’s youth.
