A serving lawmaker from Oyo state, Ayo Adeseun has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Senator Adeseun represents Oyo Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly. His defection is believed to tilt the balance in the next gubernatorial election in which former governor, Christopher Alao-Akala of the PDP is expected to put up a strong opposition to the incumbent governor of the state, Abiola Ajimobi whose allegiance is with the APC.
Adeseun’s defection comes just weeks after another APC senator, Olufemi Lanlehin defected from the APC to Accord Party.
