Lawmakers dispersed in confusion when a live snake dropped from the ceiling of Ondo State House of Assembly on Thursday, July 25, 2019 in Akure, the capital of the southwestern state.
This followed the appearance of a snake, according to reports, which fell from the roof of the Assembly while lawmakers were holding plenary.
The development forced the members to scamper to safety, disrupting Thursday’s proceeding.
As a result of this, legislative activities have been suspended in the Assembly until the complex was renovated.
