Four suspects have been paraded by the Kogi State Police Command on Tuesday February 25th 2014, for allegedly raping an 18-year-old student in the state.

Mr. Seidu Madawaki, the Commissioner of Police, reportedly stated that the victim, whose name was not disclosed, had approached the Ankpa Police Station to report the incident.

She alleged that five men had accosted her while running an errand and that they hit her with a charmed ring, after which she was taken into a bush.

According to her, her phone was seized and then she was raped by three of them while the remaining two recorded the act with their phones

She also alleged that the suspects posted the recordings on the Internet and printed some pictures which they circulated in the town.”

Madawaki reportedly said some of the suspects had already been apprehended by the police and would be arraigned.

Two of the suspects – Bala Musa and Farouk – allegedly admitted to raping the victim after collecting her handset. Farouk also said he took pictures of the act with his handset. He, however, denied posting the pictures on the Internet or printing them.

  1. That one mind can conceive evil and get other persons to execute the wicked plot as though it was their own idea beats my imagination.
It is inconceivable that rapists should be tolerated in our society with any dire consequences against the heinous crime they perpetrate.

Rapists should be chemically castrated and sentenced to life imprisonment faced with hard labour and no option of fine.
The act of rape leaves a devastating long term effect therefore, stringent punishments with long term effects should be appropriate for any rapist sane or insane.
