LAGOS, Nigeria — Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her husband, businessman and politician Ned Nwoko, of ordering the arrest of her siblings amid what she described as a deepening marital dispute.
In a series of emotional posts shared on Instagram on Monday, November 3, 2025, Daniels alleged that her “big brother and big sister” were detained and claimed that her younger sister may be arrested next.
The actress suggested the arrests were being used as pressure to compel her to return to what she described as a “rehab” facility.
“Someone pls help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind,” Daniels wrote.
“I never thought I would do this but my big brother and big sister have been arrested, my baby sister might be arrested soon as well until I return and, according to him, return to rehab.”
The actress, 25, who earlier appeared in a viral video crying and accusing Nwoko of domestic violence, said she had been wrongly labelled as struggling with addiction.
Nwoko previously denied claims of abuse, accusing Daniels of “drug and alcohol abuse.”
“Don’t even get me started on telling the world what you did to me with your stupid rehab talk!” Daniels wrote.
“You said I’m a drug addict… What other name can you call me? A prostitute? But I will speak on that one day and tell the world of your involvement with everything!”
In a separate Instagram Story update, Daniels continued: “Leave my family alone, Ned! And leave me alone too! It is obvious it’s war! And a big shame that the beautiful but short legacy we built is about to be ridiculed by the whole world.”
Daniels further alleged that her brother was assaulted during the arrest.
“Imagine the Nigerian police beating up my brother like a criminal. What exactly was the violent arrest for? Ned, you have power, connections and money right? Wild for you to think I have none,” she added.
There were unconfirmed reports that the siblings were being held at Ogombo Police Station in Lekki, Lagos.
The actress’s mother, Rita Daniels, also weighed in, accusing Nwoko of exploiting her daughter’s fame and finances.
She alleged that Regina contributed $50,000 for his political campaign.
“Ned Nwoko used Regina’s high start to boost his fallen star,” she said during a protest reportedly held to demand the release of the detained siblings.
“Regina gave Ned $50,000 for his campaign. Ned, which money do you have? Regina is covering you, the same way you went up you will come down.”
As at the time of publication, neither Nwoko nor the Nigerian Police Force had issued a formal response to the allegations.
