PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria — Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd), the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, has approved the appointment of 11 new permanent secretaries into the state civil service.
The appointments were announced in a special government statement issued in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, and signed by Dr Mrs Inyingi Brown, Acting Head of Service of Rivers State.
“His Excellency, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd), the Administrator of Rivers State has approved the appointment of the under-listed persons as Permanent Secretaries,” the three-paragraph statement read.
The newly appointed permanent secretaries are: Imaonyani Roselin Ephraim-George, Dr Mina T. Ikuru, Dabite Sokari George, Soibitein Duke Harry, Lauretta Davies Dimkpa, Uche R. Ideozu, Chimenum Mpi, Jeremiah Egwu, Nicholas Iminabo Wokoma, Vera Sam Dike, and Aleruchi Akani.
According to the announcement, the swearing-in ceremony will be conducted by the Sole Administrator on a date that will be communicated in due course.
