Will Smith marked his close friend Tyrese Gibson’s 35th birthday with a lavish celebration in Dubai, organising a series of experiences that included a meeting with Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.
The two actors joined Sheikh Hamdan at Inflight Dubai, an indoor skydiving facility, where they spent the day testing their skills inside a vertical wind tunnel.
Photos and videos posted on Gibson’s Instagram account showed the trio spinning and floating in midair.
“My mentor, my family @willsmith just made my 35th the best ever,” Gibson wrote in one caption.
“We spent the whole day with his royal highness Crown Prince of Dubai — Sheikh Hamdan — this is just unreal. We were levitating, flying, and spinning. It changed my life.”
In another post, Gibson urged his followers to “please follow this inspiring prince @faz3,” referring to Sheikh Hamdan’s social media account.
The celebration extended beyond indoor skydiving.
Sheikh Hamdan drove Smith and Gibson through the desert to view his exotic animal collection, and Smith arranged for a private helicopter ride over Dubai, providing sweeping aerial views of the coastal metropolis.
Gibson, a Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter, is known for his roles as Roman Pearce in the Fast & Furious series and Robert Epps in the Transformers franchise.
Sheikh Hamdan, in addition to his role as Crown Prince, publishes poetry under the pen name Faz’za.
