#SoundOff: The Illegalities In Buhari’s Unbundling Of The NNPC

Must read

by Edward Essien

Only two days ago, we gathered that the Buhari government wanted to split NNPC into 22 sub units and we were still discussing the justification when just yesterday, he did just that but now 7 sub units.

Buhari has no respect for the Nigerian Constitution that he swore to uphold.

Worse still he has no iota of respect for the NASS and it is not far fetched.

He went ahead and appointed 4 of his kinsmen as CEO’s of the critical units yet we look on. He hates Christians and the South South and South East. The Oil is ours yet we don’t get any of the appointments as if it is only the North that knows more about Oil.

If this Oil were in the North, trust me Nigeria would have been history and the reason for his heavy allocation for oil exploitation in the Chad basin in that budget of corruption 2016.

Only recently, Cameroon, yes Cameroon, ordinary Cameroon annexed 16 Oil rich villages in Akwa Ibom State. The government has not deemed it fit to make any statement.

This same government has continually supported the killings of Christians in the North by his private army called the Fulani Herdsmen.

This same government also uses the Daura Secret Service  (DSS) to invade State Government houses and their Assemblies the recent one being Ekiti State. Akwa Ibom was the first.
Only yesterday, the same government closed down two Delta State Hospitals because it suspected that they were owned by Tompolo. Health care services? Even if the hospitals are/were owned by him, why shut them down when you have not even provided any health care for Nigerians since you came on board almost 10 months now?

They kidnap, detain, disobey court orders, breach the Nigerian Constitution and we wonder what the agenda of this government really is.

The 7 units appointees he said would be headed by chief executive officers, namely
1. Bello Rabiu for Upstream;
2. Henry Ikem-Onih (downstream);
3. Anibor Kragha (Refineries);
4. Saudu Mohammed (Gas & Power),
5. Babatunde Adeniran (Ventures),
6. Isiaka Abdulrasaq Finance & Accounting
7. Isa Inuwa Executive Head, Corporate Planning and Services.
