I Peter 5:7 NKJV “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
God cares! That’s noteworthy. Have you been in situations when it seems that no one cares? You run from pillar to post seeking help but no one is willing to help, you have issues bothering you but there’s no one who you can share with; you feel all alone in this world: but God cares! He’s more than a lover, a friend, a parent and a brother; He’s your Creator!
Cares refer to worries and anxiety. Chances are that you have things on your mind, things that make you cry at night, things you probably can’t share with others, things that have stolen your peace of mind. Today God is asking you to throw all your worries and anxiety on Him.
Philippians 4:6 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” It’s not that God is ignorant of your issues and your pain, He simply wants you to talk to Him about them and to trust in His everlasting love for you. He cares for you. And when you do cast them upon Him, don’t take them from Him afterwards. If you could do something about your issues I’m sure you’d have done so by now. So forget about them, be happy, and just keep thanking Him in faith.
