Psalms 121:1-2 ERV “I look up to the hills, but where will my help really come from? My help will come from the Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth.”
We all need help: help to achieve our goals, dreams and visions, help to succeed in business and at work, help for expansion, help to graduate, to get a good job, to marry, to have children, to win our battles, for good health and so on.
When we need help we talk to our spouses, our doctors, parents, bankers, lawyers, consultants, special advisers, teachers, and friends. We rely on government, on NGOs or on some international agency, and many times we are disappointed. Not because these people don’t care or because they aren’t willing to help; sometimes they even try their best, but they are limited and their best isn’t always good enough.
You have the privilege of calling upon the Lord every time you need assistance. Stop looking up to the hills, God is a very present help for all places, all situations and all times. God is interested in helping you, and He is very capable too! He should be your first resort and not your last resort. Let Him lead you on what steps to take: when they needed wine He turned dirty water into the sweetest wine! Hallelujah!
