1 John 5:4 KJV “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
You must realize that the world hates you! A lot of us don’t understand this. That’s why we are confused when things aren’t working as planned; we don’t understand what’s going on: it hasn’t dawned on us that there’s a war going on between us and the world all the time!
Jesus said, “If the world hates you, remember that they hated me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as it loves its own people. But I have chosen you to be different from those in the world. So you don’t belong to the world, and that is why the world hates you.” John 15:18-19.
But it’s nothing to be worried about because we have overcome the world! Let me tell you something: you are not going to overcome the world, it has already happened! The day you gave your life to Christ was the day you overcame the world! 1 John 5:5 says “Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” Hallelujah! God is not asking us to overcome the world, He overcame the world and called us to live in victory! Jesus said, “In this world you will have troubles. But be brave! I have defeated the world!” Don’t approach situations as a victim; deal with them as an overcomer! Hallelujah!
