Spirit And Life Devotional: Walking Together

Must read

Luke 1:5-6 NKJV “There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.”

Here we see a husband and wife with one mind, walking together in the ways of God.

I don’t think money, childlessness or other problems are the major causes of broken homes and relationships; I think that the reason for most break ups is disunity; being in a relationship with someone who doesn’t share and appreciate your goals, dreams and beliefs; getting involved with someone who sees and thinks differently.

Though Zacharias and Elizabeth didn’t have a child for a very long time they remained together because their marriage was founded on a solid foundation. Two cannot walk together except they are in agreement. When the foundation is solid relationships can survive and thrive. Marriages are to be enjoyed and not endured; it’s important that we get it right from the beginning. Mutual faith in God is vital. Cheers.
