KANO, Nigeria — Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has reportedly taken a fourth wife, Asma’u Moriki, in a wedding ceremony held in Kano on Friday, May 30, 2025.
The event, attended by close friends and family, came amid his absence from Nigeria’s camp in London ahead of the Unity Cup final.
Though Musa has not formally confirmed the marriage, photos and videos from the ceremony have surfaced on social media, showing the 32-year-old footballer and his new bride celebrating the union.

The former Leicester City forward was granted leave from the Super Eagles’ camp earlier in the week, citing personal reasons.
He will now miss Nigeria’s Unity Cup final clash against Jamaica on Saturday, having played no part in the preceding fixtures.
Musa’s marriage to Asma’u Moriki marks the fourth known chapter in his personal life.
He first married Jamila in 2013, with whom he shares two children.
That marriage ended in 2017 after reports emerged about disagreements surrounding Musa’s intention to take a second wife.
Shortly thereafter, he wed Juliet Ejue from Ogoja, Cross River State.
While details surrounding their separation remain unclear, the marriage reportedly ended some time later.
In 2021, Musa married Mariam, becoming his third wife.
The footballer has now added Asma’u Moriki as his latest spouse in 2025.
Despite headlines surrounding his private life, Musa remains a prominent figure in Nigerian football.
Currently signed to Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), he has continued to lead the national team as captain, even as his playing time in recent matches has reduced.
Nigeria reached the Unity Cup final after a resounding victory over Ghana in the much-anticipated Jollof Derby earlier this week.
The team is set to face the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica at the GTech Community Stadium in London without Musa’s presence on the squad.
Musa is Nigeria’s most capped international footballer and remains a celebrated veteran of the national team, having featured in multiple FIFA World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
