LAGOS, Nigeria — Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has weighed in on the unfolding marital controversy between Innocent “2Baba” Idibia and his wife, Hon. Natasha Osawaru Idibia, sending social media into a frenzy.
The drama escalated after 2Baba’s former managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, appeared on a livestream hosted by Daddy Freeze, where they accused Natasha of attempting to seize control of the singer’s finances and career.
Midway through the session, 2Baba unexpectedly joined and firmly cautioned his former managers to stop discussing his private life publicly.
Moments later, loud off-camera arguments between 2Baba and Natasha erupted, with the exchange intensifying before the livestream abruptly ended.
The clip has since gone viral.
Reacting to the chaos, Teni posted a playful video on X, calling on fellow artistes to “mobilise” and “rescue” 2Baba.
“We have to go and pick up 2Baba quickly. We need a fighter jet, a boat — anything you have, bring it,” she joked.
She also called out her colleagues:
“Timaya, that your Porsche, we will need it. Kcee, we need your Cadillac.”
Teni teased further:
“Baba, we are coming to save you from your husband — sorry, your wife’s house. Anytime you hear ‘speed,’ 2Baba, just come out. I’m coming with the Avengers to save you.”

Her video sparked widespread reactions online, with many interpreting her comments as comic relief amid the tension.
Earlier, Hyacinth Idibia, 2Baba’s brother, publicly urged the singer to accept help, saying the situation had become worrying.
2Baba had released a separate video pleading with the public to “cease fire,” warning that the heightened attention and rumours were putting Natasha “at risk.”
Meanwhile, the Edo State House of Assembly has summoned Hon. Natasha Osawaru Idibia, who represents Egor Constituency, to appear before its Ethics and Privileges Committee over her recent conduct circulating online.
The committee is expected to review the videos and determine whether her behaviour violates legislative standards.
