KADUNA, Nigeria — President Bola Tinubu’s speech was briefly interrupted on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Kaduna when an unidentified man attempted to breach the president’s security perimeter during a public event.
Tinubu was delivering remarks at the inauguration of key infrastructural projects executed by the administration of Governor Uba Sani when the man suddenly approached the stage.
The president momentarily paused, appearing surprised, as members of his security detail swiftly restrained the intruder.
In a composed but firm response, Tinubu gestured to his security aides and instructed, “Leave him alone,” signalling his desire to de-escalate the situation.
