Former military Head of State and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari said he will tackle the two major issues of insecurity and corruption if elected as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Buhari made the pledge while speaking at the APC presidential campaign at the Adokiye Amiesemaka Stadium in Ikwerre local government area of Rivers State pledged to assemble a strong team to curb the effects of the aforementioned societal anomalies.
He also said that he will make sure unemployment is brought to the barest minimum. In his words: “I will ensure that there is no room for corruption and insurgency in the country.
‘’Everyone who has attained the age of 18 should go and get his or her PVC, to be able to vote. APC which is the best choice for the expected change in the country.
‘’The fundamental issue facing this country is insecurity and the problem of economy made worse by corruption. I assure you that we are going to assemble a competent team of Nigerians to efficiently manage the country. The damage done to this country is great. The level of unemployment, level of insecurity is intolerable. The journey has begun. It will take time, it will take patience, it will take support from you to make sure that we succeed.”
