Following his victory in the state election, Nyesom Wike was on Friday, May 29, 2015 sworn in as the new governor of Rivers State.
However, former governor, Rotimi Amaechi boycotted the ceremony as he earlier said on Thursday, May 28, 2015.
Amaechi rather attended the presidential inauguration ceremony at the Eagle Square Abuja.
