A supermarket employee has been arrested after he robbed a co-workeR at gunpoint and still turned up to work the next day, prosecutors said.

Larry Murdock, 20, who stocks shelves at Jewel-Osco, is alleged to have taken $600 (£396) as well as a wallet, gold chain, watch and iPhone from a 19-year-old co-worker he asked to ‘hang out’ with on Monday night.

But Murdock ended up being nabbed by police after turning up to work the next day – where the alleged victim pointed him out to police.

According to Assistant State’s Attorney Erin Antonietti, Murdock had offered his victim his belongings back for $1,200 (£790) in cash.

Murdock, who lives in Lakeview, Chicago, was charged with felony armed robbery.

He was still wearing his maroon Jewel-Osco polo shirt during his bond hearing.
