10 Celebrities We Bet You Didn’t Know Were Bisexual

Must read

Number five might surprise you.

Sure, Fergie’s all ready to pop any minute now but before playing wifey to Josh Duhamel, this mama-to-be was loving on some ladies. “I’ve been very honest with [Josh] from the get-go. I think women are beautiful, I’ve had a lot of fun with women, and I’m not ashamed of it. The problem is that I also love a well-endowed man. But just because I enjoy women doesn’t mean I’m allowed to have affairs in my relationship. I learned through talking with my therapist that it is still cheating even if it’s with girls, so there is a rule there.”

Surprised? Yeah, we were too, so we decided to dig a little deeper. Check out the other 9 celebrities we uncovered play for both teams.

Cara Delevingne has never formally confirmed her bisexuality, but she has been confirmed to have dated both men and women (including, but not limited to, Harry Styles and Michelle Rodriguez). When The Telegraph asked her about her sexuality in June of 2014, she gave this delightfully cryptic answer: “What do I think? I think people shouldn’t be scared of that. I’m young, I’m having fun, I don’t want to pretend to be something I’m not…So I don’t really care on that matter. People can say what they want, but I’m having a good time. I know what people are doing who are my age; I just think it would be a lie to pretend that I’m not having a good time.”

Billie Joe Armstrong has been happily married to wife Adrienne for nearly 20 years, but opened up about his bisexuality in 1995. He told The Advocate, “I think I’ve always been bisexual. I mean, it’s something that I’ve always been interested in. I think people are born bisexual, and it’s just that our parents and society kind of veer us off into this feeling of ‘Oh, I can’t.’ They say it’s taboo. It’s ingrained in our heads that it’s bad, when it’s not bad at all. It’s a very beautiful thing.”

Gillian Anderson admitted to a relationship with another girl in high school, in 2012. “I was in a relationship with a girl for a long time when I was in high school, and then I was in a relationship with a punk rock drug addict…You know, I’m old enough that I can talk about that.”

Evan Rachel Wood came out as bisexual on Twitter in 2012. She said of her sexuality, “[bisexuality is] a big part of who I am, and it always has been for as long as I can remember…I’ve honestly fallen in love with a man and I’ve honestly fallen in love with a woman…I don’t know how you label that, it’s just how it is.”

Frank Ocean let the world know about his unrequited feelings for another young man at age 19 in 2012, declaring “I don’t know what happens now, and that’s alrite [sic]. I don’t have any secrets I need kept anymore…I feel like a free man.”

Marlon Brando was “outed” in several biographies, but openly acknowledged his sexuality while he was alive. “Like a large number of men, I, too, have had homosexual experiences and I am not ashamed. I have never paid much attention to what people think about me.”

Megan Mullally believes that all of us, not just her, are bisexual. As she said to The Advocate, “I consider myself bisexual, and my philosophy is, everyone innately is.”

Amber Heard might be dating former co-star Johnny Depp, but she came out as bisexual at a 2010 GLAAD event. She sees sexuality as a fluid thing: “I don’t label myself one way or another—I have had successful relationships with men and now a woman. I love who I love; it’s the person that matters.”

Vanessa Carlton came out while headlining at Nashville Pride in 2010, saying, “I’ve never said this before but, while we’re here and living out loud as we should every single day, I, myself, am a proud bisexual woman.”
