A Nigerian delegation made up of Youth and Sports Minister Barr. Solomon Dalung, NFF President Amaju Pinnick, NFF Vice Presidents; Seyi Akinwunmi, Shehu Dikko and Chairman of the NFF’s Technical and Development Committee, Chris Green arrived Kigali, Rwanda on Sunday, January 17, 2016.
They are in Kigali to show support to the home based Super Eagles at the ongoing CHAN 2016. Later on Sunday evening, the Nigerian delegation had dinner with players and officials of the Super Eagles at the Hills View Hotel.
The Nigerian sports minister, Barr. Solomon Dalung then delivered President Muhammadu Buhari’s message to the team.
“I want to assure you that Government and people of Nigeria are with you as you start this campaign for honours. President Buhari has mandated me to tell me that you should confront all challenges with courage and confidence because he is with you in spirit.
“You have shown excellent patriotic spirit and we are proud of you. Go to battle with the mind to conquer,” Dalung said.
The Nigerian delegate will be at the Stade Regional de Nyamirambo, Kigali on Monday evening when the Super Eagles face the Mena of Niger in their first match of the campaign.
