Residents of Ephuenyim village in Ndiagu Okpuitumo community in Abakaliki local government area of Ebonyi State on Monday, June 23, 2014, received a rude shock as the bodies of 2 little girls, Ibuchi Nwangele, 8, and Oruomachi Nwangele, two were found dead in a shallow stream in the village.
The siblings who had been missing for some time had been the reason for an intensive search by villagers after they were found to be missing some weeks back.
Traditional ruler of the community, Eze Pius Nwangele, while narrateing the ordeal to the Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Martin Elechi, the state commissioner of Police, Mr. Maigari Dikko and the senator representing Ebonyi North zone, Senator Chris Nwankwo alleged foul play from the step-mother of the girls, Mrs. Felicia Nwangele who had been at loggerheads with the mother of the dead girls.
