NAN – A 26-year-old man, Nasir Aminu, was on Wednesday arraigned before an Oyo State High Court, Ibadan, charged with the murder of one Yetunde Okogun.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Aminu, and others at large, are facing trial on a four-count charge of conspiracy, murder and armed robbery.
According to the prosecutor, Mr Adeyemi Opawale, the defendant and others, now at large, conspired to kill Okogun and rob her of her two black berry cell phones valued at N110,000.
Opawale said that a total sum of N147,000, belonging to the deceased, was also carted away by the defendant and others at large.
The prosecutor said that the incident occurred on December 31, 2013 around 7:30 p.m., at Ologuneru area of Ibadan.
He said that the offences contravened Section 6 of Robbery and Fire Armed (Special Provision) Act Cap R11 Laws of the Federation 2004, and Section 324 of the criminal Code Cap 38 Voll. Laws of Oyo State 2000.
Justice Aderonke Aderemi remanded the defendant at the Agodi Prison and adjourned the case till March 23, 2016for hearing.
