An unidentified man has been stripped naked and paraded in Amaekpu Ohafia community in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State following allegations of raping and murdering a virgin.
According to a local online newspaper, Abia Facts, the man is a 60-year-old indigene of the community and reportedly confessed to raping and killing the lady whom he “mocked for being a virgin while raping her”.
Angry youth descended on the man, trashing his house, stripping him naked, and parading him in the community following an alarm raised by the victim’s friend. The newspaper did not name either the victim of the friend.
“It was gathered that the man allegedly raped the lady in the farm, mocked her while raping her for being a virgin and later killed her. He then allegedly informed the lady’s friend to tell the family where they can find the body,” the newspaper reported on Friday, November 18, 2016.
“The friend was said to have raised the alarm that led to his arrest. Abia Facts gathered that the man will be handed over to the Police once the community is done humiliating him.”
It is unclear if a body was recovered or if the police had been informed of this alleged rape and murder. But below are photos of the incident.
