Governor Abiodun Signs N280 Billion Revised 2020 Budget

Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State has signed the revised 2020 appropriation bill into law.

He promised to focus on health, education, infrastructure, and other sectors that would boost the state’s economy.

The N449.97 billion budget was reduced to N280 billion.

Abiodun, who received the bill on Thursday, July 30, 2020, from the speaker of the House of Assembly, Kunle Oluomo, said the government would work within the budget to ensure it benefits the people.

He said: “The House has done the needful. We will do our best to work within the budget by paying attention to those sectors that impart positively on our people.”

Oluomo said relevant stakeholders were engaged in the amending the bill, and hoped it would re-engineer the state’s socio-economic status.
