ENUGU, NIGERIA – In a heartbreaking turn of events, it has been reported that Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s first son, Kambilichukwu Edochie, has passed away.
Kambilichukuw was reportedly playing football with friends when he suffered as seizure and went unconscious.
An anonymous source, who spoke with The Trent on March 30, 2023, confirmed that Yul Edochie has acknowledged his son’s untimely passing.
“Kambilichukwu had been studying diligently the night before an important exam. After finishing the test, he joined his friends to play football, during which he suffered a seizure,” the family source revealed.
“He was immediately rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital, but unfortunately, medical professionals were unable to revive him.”
This devastating news comes just two months after Yul and his first wife, May, celebrated their son’s 16th birthday.
At the time, Yul expressed his love and pride for his son in a heartfelt Instagram post, wishing him many more years of success and happiness.
Yul Edochie, the youngest child of renowned actor Pete Edochie, married his teenage sweetheart, Mary, when he was 22. The pair had been together for six years before tying the knot.
Inspired by his father’s success, Yul entered the world of acting a year after getting married and has since built a successful career in Nollywood.
