Nigerian striker, Shola Ameobi has joined English Championship side, Bolton Wanderers on a short-term deal.
The 34-year-old who spent the major time of his career at Newcastle United will be looking to give Bolton a boost as the club are currently at the bottom of the championship table. He has been handed the number 36 jersey.
Ameobi who has 10 caps for Nigeria has been without a club since be released by Crystal Palace in June. He is now expected to team up with veteran English striker, Emile Heskey in Bolton’s attack.
Ameobi featured in 400 games for the Magpies over a period of 14 years. He was also a member of the Nigerian team that reached the knockout stages of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. He made two appearances from the bench before the Super Eagles were eliminated in the second round.
